Our Vision
Nestled in the heart of Greenport Village, footsteps away from Greenport Harbor, lies the historic Greenport Theatre.
Our mission is to provide a welcoming cultural arts center where people of the North Fork community can come together to be entertained, educated, and inspired by world cinema, live performances, fine art exhibitions, lecture series, and hands-on arts training. NFAC is committed to improving the quality of life in our community by promoting an appreciation for cultural arts, creativity, and critical thinking.
We are committed to using this cultural arts platform to have a positive impact on the lives of North Forkers while helping to keep businesses thriving year-round.
The North Fork Arts Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed in 2023 to preserve the historic Greenport Theatre and take it off the real estate market for potential development.
While continuing to raise funds for long-term sustainability, NFAC developed an exciting lineup of cultural programs to enrich the North Fork community. The programs were designed to entertain, inspire, and foster economic growth.
NFAC Cinematic Highlights
Premiere of EZRA: The highly-anticipated premiere of "Ezra," a heartfelt and humor-filled film written and produced by NFAC Founder and Executive Director Tony Spiridakis, offered an intimate look into the dynamics of a father and son relationship. Inspired by his personal experiences raising two neurodiverse boys, the film delivered both deep insight and reflection as well as heartwarming comedy. Directed by Tony Goldwyn and featuring stellar performances by Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne, and Robert De Niro, the premiere event was a memorable occasion, complete with a VIP reception and an engaging in-person talkback session with Tony Goldwyn and Tony Spiridakis.
Summer Lineup: Screening seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day, NFAC presented two first-run films and one cinema classic curated by the Creative and Executive Directors.

Our Space
Theater One / Upper Level
Theater One, our premier and largest space with 299 seats, hosts a variety of events including film series, lectures, live performances, festivals, and first-run films. As of January 2026, construction has started on an ADA compliant elevator with an expected completion date of May 2026. Our future goals include securing capital improvement grants to continue renovating the theater, adding a backstage area and equipment elevator to accommodate larger performances and musical acts.
Theaters Two and Three / Ground Level
Located on the ground floor directly off the lobby, Theaters Two and Three are designed for a variety of events. With seating capacities of 133 and 166 respectively, these theaters host curated film series, lectures, seminars, first-run films, and film festival screenings.
Theater Four / Multi-Purpose Space
Theater Four is our smallest and most intimate space. This space is home to our educational workshops for both children and adults, weekly Youth Advisory Board film screenings, and art exhibitions. Theater Four is also ideal for private screenings and events, and script readings.
Artist’s Alley / Long Hallway leading to Theater Four
The hallway leading to Theater Four serves as an art gallery, exhibiting rotating collections from local and regional artists. This space provides a platform for artists to share their work with the community and enhance the overall theater experience.
Metro Café
Discover our intimate café licensed to pour wine and beer. In addition to offering light refreshments, this relaxed and comfortable setting provides an opportunity to meet your neighbors and enjoy art-inspired conversation.
Our goal is to create an ever-evolving, dynamic cultural center that caters to the community's changing needs and aspirations. We're eager to continue expanding the potential of these spaces and witness their transformation over the years. Join us on this cinematic and cultural journey as Greenport Theatre crafts its identity as a beacon of arts and entertainment on the North Fork.
