Jim Farmer - The Mystery of Things...

Jim Farmer is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City, whose work spans playwriting, screenwriting, composing, and painting.


As a playwright, Jim has written, produced, and directed numerous thought-provoking works, including Frontier Halloween, Pistols and Stamens, The Savage Routine of Living, We Never Learn, Yonder Window Breaks, I've Been Drunk for Three Weeks and I Have a Gun, Morning Milking, Evening Milking, and The Supper Club of Lost Causes.


In addition to his achievements in theater, Jim has an extensive career as a composer for film and television. His scores have enriched feature films such as Johnny Suede (starring Brad Pitt), Living in Oblivion (with Steve Buscemi and Peter Dinklage), Box of Moonlight (with Sam Rockwell), The Real Blonde (featuring Dennis Leary, Matthew Modine), and Double Whammy (starring Denis Leary and Steve Buscemi). He has also composed for notable television commercials for brands such as The Gap and Citibank.


Jim is an accomplished painter with studios in both New York City and Connecticut.
