Transform your iPhone footage into compelling stories in this hands-on filmmaking workshop. Perfect for beginners or intermediates, you'll learn essential film language and editing techniques while creating your own short film using Adobe Premiere Pro. Over four immersive days, you'll master visual storytelling and shot composition, gain hands-on experience with professional editing techniques, and complete your own short film. Our small-group setting ensures you'll receive personalized feedback throughout the process.

Bring your smartphone and a laptop with Premiere Pro installed (technology scholarships available if access to a laptop, software, or phone is a barrier). Class size is limited to ensure individual attention.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Nikos Spiridakis is an accomplished editor, sound designer, and director whose passion for filmmaking started at an early age. Growing up on film and television sets, he began directing at age 10. His early hands-on experience laid the foundation for a deep understanding of visual storytelling. During his formative years, Nikos honed his craft at Camp Red (Red Studios in Hollywood) and Manhattan Film Institute (MFI), where he directed and edited numerous short films while also contributing to many others' projects, ultimately stepping into a teaching role at MFI. He further specialized in editing and sound design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, graduating with a BFA in Filmmaking. His professional experience includes work with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Screen Gems, bringing current industry expertise to his teaching approach.

Nikos combines his technical proficiency in editing and sound design with a natural ability to break down complex filmmaking concepts for beginners, making him an ideal instructor for this hands-on workshop.
