WHAT
From the actors on SNL to the writers of countless TV shows and movies--Improv comedy is the secret weapon in any artist's toolbox. The ability to create scenes on the fly doesn't just stretch your creative muscles, it also improves confidence, communication, and listening skills for life. This intro class will teach you the fundamentals of improv through exercises that explore concepts like yes-and, world building, truth in comedy, and trusting your instincts in a safe, supportive atmosphere. No prior acting experience is required, just a willingness to be weird!

Each week-long class will culminate in a live show for friends and family. Class is limited to 16 students between the ages of 12-16 and runs Saturday mornings, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the North Fork Arts Center. This 5-day class is limited to 16 students.
